Year of the Migos II continues with the coming-out party for the year's biggest hip-hop release, as our favorite trio has come through today with Culture II. Anticipated for weeks, the follow-up to last year's smash Culture arrived right on time at midnight, with the Migos celebrating on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. How did the boys whip us into a frenzy? With "Stir Fry," of course!
Backed by a tremendous flower arrangement in the shape of a roman-number II, a motif we considered very "cultured," Migos decorated their pre-recorded vocals with additional raps and adlibs, effectively giving us a choir of six Migos. While they're probably exhausted from being in the middle of nonstop recording and a promotional blitz, seeing them shake hands with Fallon at the end shows that they're still pretty content with being Migos.
Culture II is available now. Migos will turn Minnesota into "MigoSota" on February 3 when they perform at the Muse Event Center.
