Canadian hospitality is a very real thing.
Toronto's favorite son, Drake, has spent the past week performing some absolutely incredible philanthropic acts. Most recently, Drake's been making headlines for donating $50,000 to Miami's Lotus House Women's Shelter.
Drake was in Florida for a music video shoot on Monday when, after stopping by a local high school for a performance and a donation of $25,000 for school uniforms, Champagne Papi went to Lotus to help the women and children who moved in over the past week. In addition to giving $150 Target Gift Cards to all the mothers and toys and games for the children, Drake gave a tremendous donation of $50,000 (American!) to the shelter.
This all follows a tremendous week where Drake donated $50,000 to a Miami University student's tuition, and Miami's Sabor Tropical Supermarket where he paid for everyone's groceries. The video shoot is for "God's Plan," which this week has already tied the record for fastest ascension in the Top 10 Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Chart.
