Get ready for some real spring-like weather.

It's March, so another big snowstorm could be lurking somewhere in the future, but it doesn't appear to be the case at least for the next week.

According to the National Weather Service-Twin Cities, weather models are indicating a nice warmup next week, and meteorologist Paul Huttner wrote in his Updraft blog that we could be looking at a string of days with 40- and- 50-degree highs.

One long range model actually calls for temps around 60 degrees on March 16, Huttner says.

Paul Douglas wrote in his blog that we're currently "about as chilly as it's going to get (probably until October or early November)."

According to Intellicast, areas of northern Minnesota still have 16+ inches of snow cover while most of the southern half of the state has anywhere from 4-16 inches of snow on the ground.

Expect those numbers to fade quickly, perhaps even completely gone by the time we get to the first day of spring on March 20.
