Chaz Kangas hosts First Impressions with Chaz Kangas on Go 95.3 featuring the latest in hip-hop's indie-ground and underground. Chaz also (w)raps-up the day's events in a daily freestyle every morning on Ben, Dana and Giselle's Morning Show on Go 96.3. Chaz is a writer for the New York Times, LA Weekly and Complex and a celebrated hip-hop artist who has appeared on songs with Childish Gambino, Homeboy Sandman, and Mac Lethal. Chaz is also a national rap battle champion and celebrated freestyler who was once part of a Rapathon event rhyming for 28 straight hours. In addition to performing music, Chaz taught an after-school music program in Harlem for seven years, which saw him honored as Bank Street College's Teacher of the Year in 2011.
