Watch the performance that made MN’s Jesse Larson a finalist on The Voice

Jesse Larson has made it all the way from Minneapolis to the final 12 of The Voice.

The blues guitarist has survived round after round of NBC’s singing competition, and Tuesday night was picked as one of the final dozen after his performance of “Sir Duke,” by Stevie Wonder. Watch it below, or here.

Larson is on Adam Levine’s team. According to his bio, Larson was introduced to classic blues by his father – but after his dad’s sudden death, he lost his passion for music.

That is until Prince came calling. He auditioned for the Purple One numerous times, and ultimately ended up working with Prince protege Judith Hill. When Prince died last year, the tour was canceled, but Larson’s continued playing.

You can see some of his earlier performances on this season of The Voice here. Full episodes are available here.
