Craft Beer

Town Hall Station is Edina’s new ‘road food’ restaurant and craft beer bar

A restaurant featuring “road food” and local craft beer has come to Edina.

It’s called Town Hall Station, and it’s the fourth restaurant/bar to join the Town Hall family. The others are Town Hall Brewery, a brewpub in the Seven Corners neighborhood of Minneapolis, as well as Town Hall Tap and Town Hall Lanes, which are both in south Minneapolis.

Each location has it’s own character, and that’s the goal with Town Hall Station, Pete Rifakes, the co-owner and founder of Town Hall, said in a statement.

“We consider ourselves a destination for all but most importantly a comfortable component for the local neighborhood. We aim to be a foundational part of the social community,” Rifakes said.

Town Hall Station, located in the former 1950s Wally’s Service Station at 4500 Valley View Road, will seat 140 people total (70 inside and 70 outside), and it also has an indoor-outdoor bar.

The Station will pour 13 of Town Hall Brewery’s award-winning brews, including a Town Hall Station exclusive called Pitstop Cherry Lager. There will also be beers and ciders from other breweries, and a cocktail program.

The food is all “road food,” which the restaurant describes as “satisfying, simple, accessible, and made from scratch.” On the menu, there’s a variety of tacos, burgers, and salads, as well as some Town Hall favorites from other locations, like the Brewhouse Pretzel and Chicken Tenders Flight.

“The Station’s food menu carries on our tradition of a creative, eclectic approach toward modern pub fare,” Matt Lepisto, head chef at Town Hall, said in a statement. “Our goal is to create flavors that will pair with our award-winning beer, while always looking to raise the bar.”

Town Hall Station opened Friday (take a peek inside here) and so far the reviews are pretty good.

Wishing I could go back for another bite of that brgr from the new Town Hall Station in Edina.
