People get to vote in Small Business Revolution’s contest to determine which city wins money to help small businesses there and make other improvements.
Voting was supposed to close at 8 p.m. Minnesota time, but that’s been extended to 11 p.m. Thursday.
The voting period was extended because so there was so much traffic on the voting website Wednesday that some people couldn’t connect to it. Small Business Revolution wanted to make sure people had enough time to get on the website and vote – you can do that here.
If you still get an error message, just keep refreshing the page. You should get through eventually.
As of Wednesday, Red Wing was in the lead. There haven’t been any updates since, though.
“It is a TIGHT race,” a Facebook post reads. “It’s still anyone’s game.”
Some places in Red Wing are also encouraging people to vote by staying open a bit longer, According to the Republican Eagle, the Red Wing Public Library is staying open until 9 p.m. for people who might not have access to a computer.
Red Wing High School will also stay open so the public can use its computer lab.
You can only vote once a day.
