Five Minneapolis restaurants have made it onto OpenTable’s Top 100 venues for 2017, after impressing diners over the past year.
The restaurant reservation and review site every year highlights 100 restaurants and bars every year for their food and drink, bar atmosphere or live music, based on analysis of more than 10 million reviews.
Five from Minnesota made this year’s 100 and they’re all in Minneapolis (sorry St. Paul). They are:
- 4 Bells.
- Butcher & the Boar.
- Chino Latino.
- Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse.
- Spoon and Stable.
No surprises about the Spoon and Stable, 4 Bells, Butcher & The Boar and Chino Latino, which are independent restaurants with a much-vaunted reputation locally.
But the inclusion of the “gaucho-style” Brazilian, all-you-can eat steakhouse Fogo de Chao may come as a bit of a surprise given that it’s part of an international chain and it has more than 35 locations across the U.S. alone.
Nonetheless the Minneapolis branch gets great reviews on OpenTable, with an average rating of 4.5 based on more than 2,000 reviews.
“Fogo de Chao always have excellent fire roasted meats, great salad items and delivers outstanding service which makes dining here both a fun experience and memorable dinner,” one review says.
Chef Gavin Kaysen’s acclaimed Spoon and Stable gets the highest rating out of the five by OpenTable reviewers, with an average review of 4.8 out of 5.
