- Ben, Dana & Giselle6 a.m. to 10 a.m., M-F
Ben has been in the Twin Cities radio market since attending the University of Minnesota in 2000. He loves everything local, including: food, breweries and the professional sports teams. Ben is a self-admitted CNN nerd, and yearns for current events. He has a pug named Harry and lives in a small town called Lauderdale which is between Saint Paul, Roseville, Falcon Heights and Northeast Minneapolis. Ben is humorously unlucky in love, but adores his family and friends and is extremely loyal and hardworking. Ben believes in making a difference and is passionate about helping others succeed.
Dana Wessel was born and raised here in Minnesota. He has been working in radio since 2006 when he started as an intern while at the University of Minnesota. He’s a fun-loving guy who looks for the humor and joy in every situation. Whether it’s going to one of his favorite bars or checking out the newest restaurants, he loves going out, being social, and all things Minnesota. He lives his life on social media, like any other millennial. He’s a pop-culture nerd who can name more actors in Pulp Fiction than he can current U.S. senators. He also has a passion for classic video games and even has a full-sized Donkey Kong machine in his living room. He is a HUGE sports fan — especially soccer — with a few years experience working in sports radio before coming to Go Media.
Giselle is a Mexican-American multimedia personality and producer best known for her work as the celebrity correspondent for the Today Show (Australia) and as a face and beauty b/vlogger for COVERGIRL Cosmetics and Proactiv+. After spending nearly ten years in Los Angeles, she moved back to her hometown of Minneapolis, as the newest addition to the morning show family at Go Radio. She’s quickly won over co-hosts Ben & Dana, along with Go 96.3 listeners with her big heart, often rooting for the underdog and pulling out the positives, and an unfiltered sense of humor, surprising us each day with personal quirks and tastefully honest commentary. In her free time, she enjoys happy hour, Costco/Target runs, group fitness classes, solo television marathons, Googling baby pandas, making YouTube videos and Snapchat-ing her latest (usually cheese-filled) kitchen creations — and, of course, spending time and doing all of those activities with family and friends, now that she’s home again!
- Miles the DJ2 p.m. to 7 p.m., M-F
Miles the DJ is Go 96.3’s music director and afternoon radio host. Miles got his big start in radio in 2003 at the age of 18 while living in San Francisco, California. Still a high school senior, Miles quickly became one of the Bay Area’s most popular DJs, trailing only Howard Stern in his station’s “Most Popular Radio Hosts” poll in the fall of 2004.
Miles spent 12 years building a following in the San Francisco music scene after DJing in legendary venues like The Fillmore. He played at festivals with The Killers, Vampire Weekend, and Muse, and opened for such artists including Elle Goulding, Silversun Pickups, and DJ AM.
While visiting his aunt in 2015, Miles discovered the Twin Cities’ incredible arts, culture, and music scene. A weekend exploring Minneapolis, St. Paul and attending shows at The Fine Line and Varsity Theater reminded him of San Francisco in the mid ‘00s. Miles was hooked. After a quick trip back to California, he dropped everything and drove to Minneapolis over the next three days. He’s been here ever since.
When he’s on the air, Miles makes it a point to flow together familiar favorites with quality new songs. His music features have become essential listening in the Twin Cities. Miles also brings his club experience to the airwaves from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights during Go’s weekly electronic program, The Mixdown with Miles. Finally, he closes out every week with First Impressions. The station’s new music show puts a spotlight on independent music, underground sounds and local bands every Sunday from 10 p.m. to midnight.
Look for Miles hanging out near the Turf Club, catching a band at Icehouse, stumbling into the Depot after a First Ave show, or grabbing a late-night drink at The Freehouse.
You can listen to Miles the DJ on Go 96.3 every weekday afternoon from 2 to 7 p.m.
